Duplicate Station ID

Issue:


During installation of a Kofax workstation the following message is displayed:


The specified station ID is already in use. Please choose a different Station ID for this machine.



Resolution:


This can occur after a failed client workstation installation.


The issue can be resolved by browsing to the “Station” folder in the Station ID folder located in the CaptureSV folder (shared Kofax Capture folder), and deleting the file with a filename that is the same as the client workstation computer name attempting the installation.
