      File format .png or .gif is not supported in Kofax eDocuments

      Issue:


      Receiving error: 


      The *.png file format is not supported for eDocuments. PDF documents are the only file format supported for eDocuments.


      Solution:


      Kofax Capture only supports formats other than .tiff or .pdf  through Kofax Import Connector (KIC) - an add-on software product for Kofax Capture that is available for purchase. KIC can import these and many other file types and convert them to .tiff or .pdf formats before they are sent to a batch in Kofax Capture.


      To convert these formats using Kofax Import Connector (KIC) please configure the conversion as follows:

      1. Launch Kofax Administration
      2. Click on 'Configuration' on the Electronics Documents tab
      3. Highlight the correct Destination and choose 'Edit Destination'
      4. Click on the 'Import Settings' tab
      5. In the 'Import mode'  section set the conversion mode to 'Convert all content'
      6. Save the settings
      7. Choose 'Yes' when prompted to restart the KIC services.
