How to change DPI settings

Issue:

Customer is having issues where they are unable to get the pages that they were scanning into 300DPI so the scan was not producing quality images.

Resolve:

1. Check batch classes to see if sample pages are configured. If there are sample pages, follow step 2. If no sample pages, follow step 3. (Note: DPI is located in Form Type properties)

2. Check the "Separation and Form Identification" tab in batch class properties, if Kofax page recognition is configured, the sample page must be the same DPI. If the sample page DPI is not the same DPI that is needed. Take note of the index/identification zones if they are configured and reconfigure them on a rescanned sample page at the DPI they need.

3. Check Scanner profiles, Scanner profiles should be created for each batch class and the profiles should be named exactly the same as the batch class. Doing so will allow the scan module to automatically assign the correct scan profile to each document.

The DPI settings in the sample page and for documents being scanned in, need to match. So if you want pages to be scanned in with 300DPI you will need to set up your sample page with 300DPI scanned in the sample page.
