How to update external field type address

Issue:

Sharepoint address has changed for the external field type

Solution:

1. Remove the field type for any document class that has it configured.
2. Assign a temporary field type to the corresponding field.
3. Delete the field type
4. Recreate the field type
5. Relink the field type to the index fields in all of the batch classes
6. Republish the batch classes.
