      Insufficient Licensing to run requested Module - Kofax Capture

      Issue:


      Users receive an error when attempting to open a Kofax module that requires a license.


       "[8001] AcLicImp: insufficient licensing to run the requested module or feature. Close down unused instances or obtain a new activation code that reflects your actual licensing requirements." be interpreted?


      This will only happen if there are more modules open than licenses available.


      General station license rules:


      Each station will only require 1 station license - regardless of how many modules are open.


      Exception to the rule:


      A station has more than one session running and each session has a module running that requires a license. The station licenses will then decrement per session so more than 1 license will be assigned to the same station.

      Resolution:


      Open the Kofax Capture License utility.


      Click on the 'Connected Stations' tab if it is available


      Determine which machines have checked out the licenses and request a user close their modules to release a license.
