When using enhanced barcodes with Kofax Capture, you may see a 10 to 15 second delay after clicking the Scan button or Scan Batch button in the Scan module.
If so, this can be resolved by performing the following steps:
1. Close all running Kofax Capture modules and services.
2. If needed, upgrade Kofax Capture 10.0 to Service Pack 2, Fix Pack 3 or higher
or upgrade Kofax Capture 10.1 to Fix Pack 1 or higher.
3. Open the following file in a text editor such as Notepad (where is the hostname or IP address of the Capture Share): \\\CaptureSV\Config\ACConfig.xml
4. Add the following line directly under the node in the ACConfig.xml file:
<EBCAcquisition RestoreScannerSource="0" />
5. Save the changes to the ACConfig.xml file.
6. Restart the Kofax Capture service
