Kofax error: Release Script Component .ocx not registered

Issue:

Receiving .ocx error when attempting to install a supported Export Connector.

Error:

Component 'tabctl32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

Solution:

For a 32bit OS follow the instructions in the QAID article located at the following URL

For a 64bit OS follow the instructions below:

1. Navigate to the Kofax Capture installation media>Export Connectors>VB6 Components               
2. Copy the three .ocx files to SYSWOW64 folder

• mscomct2.ocx
• MSCOMCTL.ocx
• TABCTL32.ocx

1. Run  Command Prompt  as Admin            
2. Navigate to SYSWOW64 - regsvr32            
3. Register the three files using regsvr32 located in the SYSWOW64 folder
