Kofax module unresponsive – will not launch

Error in error log:

ProcessUnhandledException, 0, Configuration system failed to initialize

Possible issue:

user.config file is corrupt

Possible solution:

1. Navigate to the correct “x.exe_StrongName…..” file for the module that is not launching :
   1.      Example of the file for the release module:
   2.      C:\Users\AppData\Local\Kofax,_Inc\release.exe_StrongName_abcXYZ\6.0.0.0\user.config
2. Backup the user.config file
3. Delete the corrupted user.config file
4. Launch the module that was previously failing.
5. A new user.config file should now be completed
