KTM Forms License vs KTM Unlimited Fields License

NOTE: This article only applies to KTM 5.5 SP2 and later - and the Kofax Capture license must include KTM for Forms license

The "KTM Forms" license is a project level license while the "KTM Unlimited Fields Extraction" license is a document level license. They are not interchangeable and do not perform the same function.

The "KTM Forms" license is a system license while the "KTM Unlimited Fields Extraction" license is a volume license.

If the project can successfully make use of the "KTM Forms" license, it will not use the "KTM Unlimited Fields Extraction" license.

The "KTM Forms" license is applied at the Project level. If anything in the Transformation project makes use of a feature not supported by the "KTM Forms" license, the volume licenses are utilized.

The "KTM Unlimited Field Extraction" is applied on a per document basis based on the number of fields in the Class.

The KTM for Forms license does not support Format Locators. The document being processed will have the "KTM Unlimited Fields Extraction" license applied to it.

Note that if the Advanced Zone Locator (AZL) makes use of any Recognition Profiles that make use of OCR engines besides FineReader, the "KTM Forms" license is no longer sufficient and KTM volume license such as "KTM Unlimited Fields Extraction" will be used.

If you open the project in Project Builder and click the "License Utility" button under the "Project" tab.

If the lower texts says, "This project uses advanced features" then it will not run with KTM for Forms license.

If the text says, "This project uses basic features only", it will run with the KTM for Forms license.
