      Poor PDF quality after upgrading Kofax Capture to 11.1

      Problem:

      There have been reports of PDF files created by PDF Generator to be poor. There appear to be smudging or other artifacts that can occur on the page.

      This is because the older profiles are deprecated:-
      1) PDF Image Only
      2) PDF Image + Text

      Solution:

      Older PDF engines have been replaced with the following:

      1) Enhanced PDF Image Only
      2) Enhanced PDF Image On Text

      Review your previous settings, such as Resolution, PDF Type... etc and recreate them in the newer profiles. Best best results in quality, we have found "Maximize Accuracy" to produce the best results. However, this will result in slightly larger PDF file sizes.
