Reset KTM Validation Settings

Issue:


The customer is having an issue with KTM Validation opening up: Gets error message "Object reference not sent to an instance of an object." (Zendesk Ticket #11475).


Resolve:


Follow steps from Kofax Knowledge Base:


When experiencing issues in KTM Validation such as the image viewer disappearing, docking issues, or the Object Reference error the first step that should be taken is to reset KTM Validation Settings. To reset these settings do the following:

  1. Export and delete the following Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Kofax\Transformation\4.0\Validation
  2. Backup and then delete the files in the following directory: C:\Users\<Logged_In_User>\AppData\Local\Kofax\Transformation
  3. Open KTM Validation which will regenerate the registry and XML files.
