      Retaining batch class version options - pubtypes folder taking up a lot space.

      Problem:


      On your Kofax server, you notice the PubTypes folder in CaptureSV is taking up alot of space.

      Resolve:


      The issue is due to all version history for every time a batch is published is stored on the pubtypes folder. To limit the number of versions retained, do the following:


      1. In Kofax Capture administration - Home Tab - Click on Versions

      2. Review the options available to you and select which option best suits what you would like.




      • Do not retain batch class versions: Disables the Versions feature. Previously published batch class versions are not retained.
      • Retain all versions: (Default) All versions of previously published batch classes are retained.
      • Retain this number of recent batch classes:
        • Retains the specified number of recent versions per batch class. For example, if you select 15, the 15 most recent published versions are retained per batch class. Each time you publish a batch class, the list is refreshed.
        • If the number of published batch class versions exceeds 15, the oldest version is automatically deleted if it is not in use. If still in use, the version is deleted as soon as all affected batches are exported or deleted.
