      Is VRS required when you don't have a license for VRS Elite (Kofax Capture)

      Tungsten Automation (Previously Kofax) VRS must be installed on all Kofax Capture servers and workstations.

      • Kofax Capture is an ImageControls-based application and the ImageControls libraries are included in the Kofax VRS installation
      • Kofax Capture relies on the Kofax VRS ImageControls KScan Control for scanning, importing, storing, and exporting images
      • Kofax Capture relies on the Kofax VRS ImageControls KImgP Control to process images
      • Kofax Capture relies on the Kofax VRS ImageControls KView Control to view images
      • Kofax Capture relies on Kofax VRS libraries for PDF import and conversion to TIFF images
      • Kofax Capture relies on Kofax VRS libraries for image format conversion
      • Kofax Capture relies on the Kofax VRS Standard Bar Code engine and Enhanced Bar Code engine to perform bar code recognition
